Autumn is in the air once again, in the shortening of the days, the chilling of the air, and the reddening of the leaves. It is on that note that we would like to announce this year’s momiji-gari, or autumn leaf viewing-hike.
Momiji-gari is always a good time to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and head for the quiet of the rural countryside, and it is with that in mind that we have chosen Oku-Tama, in the outskirts of Tokyo, as this year’s momiji-gari spot, in the hope that it’ll allow participants, especially those who are still new to Japan, to see a different side to Tokyo.
We will also be having dinner together after the hike – although optional, it is definitely a good time to catch up with old friends and make new ones. The turnout in previous years has been good, and we certainly hope that it will be no different this year – please do sign up! To register, register directly with us using this link provided.
The registration deadline is 11th November, 2012. For those who wish to have dinner, please register by 8th November. Please do note that all dinner expenses will be self-borne.
Since it is a hike, please remember to wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes, as well as a towel if you wish to enter an onsen at the end of the hike.
We look forward to your active participation! If you do have any questions, do feel free to contact us at general.ssaj@gmail.com or go directly to our Facebook Group Page .
